It’s currently rainy and cold here in New England, and how did it get to be mid November?! Our point…? We want to rewind time a bit and head back to a vineyard and just sit, sip, eat and enjoy the wine, the view, the crisp October fall air and sip way more!

Days like this remind us of our afternoon w/ Wollfer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack NY. A day of sun, snacks and wine.
A vineyard to us is a destination, a place to sit and stop moving, a place to enjoy and savor. Time slows down, the wine is warming (or cooling, depending upon the season, chill, temp etc…) the views are always spectacular.

Wolffer Estate is no exception. Set back off the main road between East and Southampton stands a beautiful, Tuscan style building, with a water fountain, a large wooden door that opens upon a rustic yet classy tasting room, with epic views and a great outside space.

We enjoyed a tasting of their reds and whites, nibbled on a hummus, crackers and olives, dipped warm bread in local olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
For me, a crisp white is always my favorite, as my person has yet to transfer into deep winter warming reds, so Wollfer’s Sauvignon Blanc was the perfect sipping wine for the aforementioned snack/lunch. Bottles were purchased, views were absorbed and filed away for later dates (today for example!), a great afternoon was had… A fitting end to what was an idyllic fall visit to The Hamptons!
Until next year, the bottles we have at home will have to do!
Enjoy.
